Programmatic Display & Social Media – Service Lead

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to shape and advance our programmatic display and paid social media services for leading brands.   We are looking for someone who wants to “make their mark” by defining and building processes. You’ll do that by selecting technologies and developing and hiring the talent needed to fuel our programmatic display service, while also scaling our existing paid social advertising service.

This critical role is responsible for driving profitable growth for its services, aligned with overall agency objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Drive the creation and enhancement of new and existing managed services including packaging, pricing and service definitions for programmatic display and social channels
  • Quickly scale knowledge and processes of the team and department around programmatic display best practices
  • Oversee the execution of operational tasks including budget management, billing and campaign creative trafficking
  • Develop strong working relationships with members of the broader digital account teams including planning, investment, operations and analytics
  • Collaborate with technology teams and publishers to source, evaluate and implement deals that provide our clients with high quality inventory opportunities
  • Create and enforce workflow processes to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Lead efforts to scale the planning and executions media partnerships including:
  • Develop and present RFPs, media plans, objectives and strategies decks and other related media documents
  • Drive media planning and buying across display, video and mobile, owning elements of planning and execution
  • Utilize media planning tools such as Nielsen, ComScore, eMarketer, Prisma, DoubleClick and Forrester for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid media environments and appropriately apply that knowledge
  • Create campaign post-launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients
  • Manage day-to-day communication with key partners: vendors, agencies and technology partners
  • Report on campaign performance with the ability to distill and curate insights and findings
  • Coach, support and develop your team members in a way that evokes strong performance and creates and maintains an environment of optimal productivity and morale for your team
  • Provide proactive strategy and guidance with key clients and with your team.
  • Translate client campaign objectives into activation strategies, including defining and building target audiences while ensuring sourced inventory opportunities are optimized towards relevant objectives and KPIs 
  • Keep key stakeholders updated on campaign and account level performance via regular and ad-hoc reporting and status meetings
  • Lead the strategic processes of your team (wide-scale use of technologies and best practices) and the quality of your team’s service (client visits, on-boarding process, client feedback/communication, etc.)
  • Step in on complex/urgent client issues

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in media and ad technology trends
  • 2+ years of media experience, ideally working inside an agency environment
  • 2+ years of recent people management experience
  • Experience in translating brand client requirements into actionable media plans with associated KPIs
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work with decision makers and senior leaders
  • Familiarity with media metrics, measurements and tracking technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
