We Want YOUR 2 Cents!

2 cents.jpg Over here at ROI Revolution, Michael Harrison and I have been brainstorming ways to make the Google Analytics Training Webinar we offer even better and more beneficial to those who attend. The Training Webinar focuses on interpreting the reports within Google Analytics and explaining what information you can get out of those reports.

Currently we have the webinar organized by the sections in Google Analytics: Marketing Optimization, Content Optimization, and E-Commerce Analysis.

But we began to think "Maybe It would be better to organize this webinar based on the things people are really going to use Google Analytics for!" and the more we thought about it the more we liked that idea.

Example:
Online Marketing
With this example, we would list the major reports in Google Analytics that would help somebody trying to do effective online marketing, like the All CPC Analysis report.

So now we would like to ask YOU, our readers: what activities would you like to see addressed in a Google Analytics Training Webinar?

Google Analytics for Online Advertisers
Here at ROI Revolution, we consider Google Analytics tracking essential for paid search, so it's included in our PPC Campaign Management service.

Hi, first I'd like to thank you to gives us the possibility to request "on-demand training".

Personally, I'd like to see somewhere on the Web (Maybe you guys have the expertise) a complete guide on how to properly set-up Google Analytics. There are fragments here and there, but there is so many different cases that it makes it hard to group all the information together...

Here are some quick thoughts:

- What if I want to install utmlinker on my links but I don't want to "write it" via javascript.

- How does the integration with an internal Search engines works (Google Mini for instances).

- Filters and regular expressions... It seems to be the core of GA, but nobody provide extended information yet...

So personally, these are the type of issues I'd like to see in a GA training Webinar...

Thank you,
Julien

One major thing that people are using Google Analytics for is tracking their PPC advertising from engines other than Google.

The best thing you and/or GA could do for advertisers is to automate the process of tracking their ads without forcing them to manually add tracking codes for every keyword at every engine.

For example, Yahoo! Search Marketing already provides what they call Easy Track to instantly add tracking codes.

Ideally, GA should have a master equate table that can be toggled on by clicking a box so it recognizes Yahoo codes with no additional work required.

Until then perhaps you can come up with a manual way to make this happen by mapping existing tags to GA's using Master Tables.

You could offer to configure it as a service or sell an e-book step-by-step guide for diy-ers.

I've pitched the idea of offering an option to append GA's tracking codes to the ads from one secondary PPC engine and will suggest it to others.

Anything that can be done to make GA easier to configure and implement will greatly help users.

A default configuration or at least a road map for PPC advertisers would be a great start.
