Some Google Analytics Invitation Codes Are 'In the Mail'

January 11, 2006

Exciting News! Inside Adwords has announced that Google has started sending invitations to the first set of customers who submitted their email addresses for a Google Analytics invitation code.

We've now started sending invitation codes to the first set of customers who submitted their email addresses for a Google Analytics account. If you receive an invitation code from us, you can sign up and begin tracking the performance of your websites and AdWords campaigns.

For anyone who has not yet received their invitation see the Google Analytics site:

We're pleased to announce that we've begun re-opening signups for Google Analytics on an invitation basis. For more information on when you might receive an invitation, please read our Progress Updates page.

As of the time of this writing, there have been no listings on eBay for others to 'auction' their Google Analytics invitation, but after all, these are hot 'tickets' indeed and it's probably just a matter of time.

UPDATE 4/5/2006: It happened, just as I predicted! You can now find your Google Analytics Invitation Code on eBay. Check it out.

For those lucky souls who have their invitation code, be sure to register for our live, free 60 minute Google Analytics training webinar "How to turn Google Analytics into Pure Profit" or subscribe to our free Google Analytics monthly newsletter.

Google Analytics for Online Advertisers
Here at ROI Revolution, we consider Google Analytics tracking essential for paid search, so it's included in our PPC Campaign Management service.

We've started using a different analytics program during the long delay in sign-ups for Google Analytics. If we simply could have paid for the old Urchin OnDemand, we would have. Now we need to decide whether to make the switch, which will mean walking away from the historical data we've collected with the other program. Tough call.

One would hope that in time conversion programs will be available....dump the data at one source and read it into another....or am I mistaken, this is not in the open source domain!

Ok, so to get an invitation to Google Analitics will take a while for everyone of us, so which is the next best alternative if you have no time to waste?
